BMW Motorrad is set to unveil the highly anticipated R1300R on April 10, 2025. This new model marks a significant evolution in BMW’s lineup of naked roadsters, offering a blend of power, agility, and advanced features.
Engine and Performance
The R1300R will be powered by the same 1,300cc air- and liquid-cooled boxer twin engine that debuted on the R1300GS. This engine produces 145 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is expected to come with BMW’s Automated Shift Assistant as an optional feature.
Design and Aesthetics
The R1300R is expected to retain the iconic BMW naked bike look, with a muscular fuel tank and minimalist tail section. The headlight design features twin slanted LED position lights, giving it a modern and sporty appearance. The bike is also expected to have a more compact and lighter powertrain layout, resulting in a shorter wheelbase and improved handling.
Advanced Features
The R1300R is anticipated to come with a range of advanced features, including electronic suspension, BMW’s fully integral braking system (combi brakes), blind spot detection, heated grips, and heated seats. The instrument panel is likely to feature a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity.
Launch and Availability
The global debut of the R1300R is scheduled for April 10, 2025, at 17:00 CEST. Following its global launch, the R1300R is expected to be launched in India during the festive season. The bike is anticipated to be priced around ₹22 lakh to ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom India).
