London-based tech brand Nothing is all set to revolutionize the mid-range smartphone market with the launch of its latest devices, the Nothing Phone 3A and Phone 3A Pro, on March 4, 2025. The highly anticipated event will be held at the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, where the company has already showcased the device at its booth.
Design and display
The Nothing Phone 3a series continues the brand’s tradition of innovative design. While the Phone 3a is equipped with a sophisticated camera module to enhance its overall beauty, the Phone 3a Pro stands out with its asymmetrical camera design. Both devices retain Nothing’s signature transparent back and Glyph lighting system, adding a unique touch to their minimalist appearance.
Both phones feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which provides smooth videos and an immersive viewing experience. The Phone 3a measures 163.52mm x 77.5mm x 8.35mm and weighs 201g, while the Phone 3a Pro is slightly thicker at 8.39mm and 10g.
Performance and hardware
The Nothing Phone 3a series is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and promises efficient performance and improved power management. This is a significant upgrade over the MediaTek processor used in the Phone 2a. Both the devices are expected to have a 5,000mAh battery for fast charging.
Camera Setup
The camera setup is the main feature of the 3a series of phones. The Phone 3a has a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera. But the Phone 3a Pro goes a step further with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 6x on-sensor zoom and 60x ultra zoom. This advanced camera system is expected to deliver exceptional image quality and enhanced photography capabilities.
New features and AI integration
A yet-to-be-announced new feature called Essential Space acts as a ‘second memory’ for users using AI features. There are also rumors that there will be a dedicated camera button that will further enhance the photo-taking experience. Both devices run Android 15 out of the box.
Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro will be launched simultaneously on March 4 in India and other global markets. Pricing details have not been officially announced yet, but according to leaked information, the Phone 3a will be priced around Rs 25,000 ($290) in India, while the Phone 3a Pro will be priced around Rs 30,000 ($345).
