OnePlus 15’s turning heads as a standout Android phone this year – fresh leaks show serious power under the hood, a fresh look from the ground up, while swapping out the old chassis for something bolder; battery life jumps way up too. It’s already hitting stores across China, with an Indian launch set for November 13th, packing newer tech inside plus clear upgrades when stacked against the OnePlus 13.
Confirmed Performance and Gaming Enhancements
OnePlus is using Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, turning this into one of the speediest Android devices around right now. Gamers get an extra boost from a special G2 chip that smooths out gameplay while cutting down delays during intense sessions. On top of that, partnerships with titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans let them run at native 165fps – so the 165Hz screen actually gets used how it was meant to.
Display Upgrades and Brightness Improvements
The device packs a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED screen that runs at 165Hz instead of less responsive rates. OnePlus claims peak brightness hits 1,800 nits when cranked up – handy under sunlight – but dims down to just 1 nit so it won’t blind you late at night. With these tweaks, motion feels way slicker while outside clarity improves dramatically; dim settings also feel easier on the eyes after lights out.
New Design and Build Enhancements
The OnePlus 15 rocks a chunky camera bump and sharp-edged body, taking cues from the old OnePlus 13 series. Launching in India with shades like Sand Storm, along with Infinite Black and Ultra Violet picks. It’s built tough – rated IP66, plus IP68, then IP69, topped with IP69K – for handling grit, strong sprays, or even sinking into 1.5 meters of water for half an hour.
Camera Hardware and Imaging Change
OnePlus isn’t teaming up with Hasselblad anymore – now it’s boosting its own gear for sharper photos. On the back, you get three cameras including a 50MP main shooter, plus a fresh imaging layout. Even without Hasselblad’s touch, they claim the results will feel smoother and more polished.
Massive Battery and Faster Charging Support
A major upgrade? The move to a 7,300mAh battery – way beyond the OnePlus 13’s 6,000mAh cell. Charging gets faster as well thanks to 120W Super Flash via cable or 50W wireless through Flash Charge tech. Plus, you’ve got bypass charging that helps cut down heat while playing games. After four years of everyday use, OnePlus says it still holds more than 80% capacity and works smoothly even when temps drop to –20°C.
Cooling System and Connectivity Features
To keep things cool when you’re deep into gameplay, this phone uses a full-wrap Cryo-Velocity cooling setup paired with a big 5,731mm² 3D vapor chamber. On top of that, there’s a dedicated Wi-Fi chip built in – helps hold strong signals even where networks are packed, while the touchscreen reacts faster thanks to its 3,200Hz sampling speed.
Expected Price for India
In China, the OnePlus 15 kicks off at CNY 3,999 – roughly Rs 50,000 – for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant; meanwhile, the high-end 16GB/1TB model runs up to CNY 5,399 (approximately Rs 67,000). Due to added import fees along with local pricing adjustments in India, it’s likely to hit markets priced from Rs 65,000 through Rs 75,000.
