The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be the sleekest and most powerful smartphone in the Galaxy S series lineup. Expected to launch in mid-May, this ultra-thin flagship brings together design, performance, and camera innovation in a device that’s lighter and thinner than any Samsung flagship before.

With a thickness of just 5.84mm and a weight of 162 grams, the Galaxy S25 Edge is constructed using a titanium frame and ceramic back, offering a luxurious feel while staying lightweight. Available in Titanium Icyblue, Silver, and Jetblack, the Edge model aims to bridge the gap between the Galaxy S25+ and the S25 Ultra-delivering near-ultra features in a compact form factor.

Immersive Display Meets Lightning Performance

At the heart of the S25 Edge lies a stunning 6.66-inch LTPO AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a dazzling 2,600 nits of brightness. It’s built for smooth scrolling, vivid visuals, and effortless readability even in harsh sunlight.

Under the hood, the phone packs the newly optimized Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, backed by 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB, both using ultra-fast UFS 4.0 technology. It runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7, ensuring a clean, responsive, and customizable experience.

Camera System with Flagship Punch

The Galaxy S25 Edge introduces a dual-camera system that focuses on high resolution and simplicity. The main sensor is a jaw-dropping 200MP lens that captures ultra-detailed photos with excellent clarity. It’s accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor for expansive shots.

While it doesn’t include a dedicated telephoto lens, digital zoom of up to 4x is achieved through the massive resolution of the primary sensor, ensuring lossless detail even from a distance. A 10MP front camera takes care of selfies and video calling.

Battery Built for Elegance

To maintain its slim profile, the S25 Edge houses a 3,900mAh battery-a slight trade-off compared to the regular S25’s 4,000mAh pack. It supports 25W wired charging, striking a balance between size and performance.

Despite the smaller capacity, optimizations in the software and the power efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset help deliver solid day-long performance for moderate to heavy users.

Price and Market Rollout

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be priced in the premium tier, sitting slightly below the Ultra model but above the standard S25. It will launch in two variants: 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The phone will be available in over 30 countries at launch, with sales beginning by the end of May. Given its mix of style, power, and imaging capabilities, the Galaxy S25 Edge could be the perfect option for those who want top-tier performance without the bulk of the Ultra series.
