Skoda Auto India is gearing up to launch the new-generation Kodiaq in India on April 17, 2025. The second-generation Kodiaq, first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, brings a range of updates in design, technology, and safety, making it a compelling choice in the premium SUV segment.
Design and Specifications
The new Kodiaq features an evolutionary design with a larger hexagonal ‘butterfly’ grille and sleeker split matrix LED headlights with connecting LED strips. The SUV has a sculpted bonnet with an updated Skoda logo in matte dark chrome. The side profile includes 18-inch alloy wheels, with differing designs for the Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K) trims. The rear features connected LED tail lamps, a redesigned tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof.
The interior of the 2025 Kodiaq is brand new, offering a layered dashboard dominated by a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone chargers, paddle shifters, and a panoramic sunroof. The L&K trim comes with a dual-tone black and tan interior, while the Sportline features an all-black theme. Other highlights include three-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats with massage functions, and a 13-speaker Canton sound system.
Safety Features
The new Kodiaq is equipped with advanced safety features, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), nine airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold and hill descent control, and traction control. These features ensure enhanced safety and driver awareness on Indian roads.
Engine and Performance
The Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system, providing a blend of power and off-road capability.
Variants and Pricing
The new Kodiaq will be available in two variants: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The SUV is expected to be priced around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec variant.
