Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Tata Curvv Dark Edition, adding a bold and stylish variant to its popular compact SUV lineup. This special edition is set to debut as the official car of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), enhancing its appeal among sports enthusiasts and car buyers alike.

Key Features and Design

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition will feature an all-black exterior with a glossy finish, giving it a sleek and sophisticated look. This includes blacked-out accents, darkened alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. The interior will also follow the dark theme, with black upholstery and piano black highlights on the dashboard, creating a sporty and elegant ambiance.

Engine Options

The Curvv Dark Edition will be available with two engine options: a 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine producing 125 hp and 225 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 118 hp and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The Dark Edition will be based on the top-spec Accomplished trim, offering a range of premium features. These include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, a gesture-controlled tailgate, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Pricing and Availability

While official pricing has not been announced, the Curvv Dark Edition is expected to be priced slightly higher than the standard Curvv models. Considering the trend with other Tata Dark Edition models, a price hike of around Rs 40,000 is anticipated. This would place the Curvv Dark Edition in the range of Rs 16.5 lakh to Rs 19.6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Brand Ambassador

Adding to the excitement, Tata Motors is reportedly in talks to appoint Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal as the brand ambassador for the Curvv. This move is expected to further boost the SUV’s appeal among consumers.

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition promises to be a stylish and powerful addition to the Curvv lineup. With its all-black aesthetic, advanced features, and robust engine options, it is poised to attract a wide range of buyers. The launch is expected to take place in the coming weeks, with deliveries likely to begin shortly thereafter.
